Who says being creative or being a genius is inborn? Sometimes being one is considered a deficiency when we use this kind of mind power as an advantage towards others who do not match our strength of thinking. Well, being creative and being a genius is not natural, it’s not on the genes, it’s in us, in our own selves.

If you think you’re that bright, please read this, you might want to discover more of your brain’s capacity. If you think you’re that dumb and less than the denominator of the grades you had wanted and ever longed for, I say that you’re not what you think you are. You just have t to endorse yourself to a positive view, to a brighter side where you can conquer your weaknesses and let go of the real genius in you. Here’s how:

1.)Let it flow.

Creativity does not necessarily require an act of will or sweat on the brow. It’s about getting beyond logic for want of a better world; it’s being available to our intuition.

2.)Be Spontaneous.

Creativity asks us to change the way we live our lives, to turn away from the “normal” way of doing things and express our individuality.

3.)Start something…anything.

Begin toying things. Where does someone start if she never considered herself creative? Ability or intelligence doesn’t limit people’s creativity. If you want to be more creative, you have to take more risks. That’s what inhibits most people.

4.)Get out of the box.

The simplest way to kindle or creative fire is to take everyday tasks and make them more exciting or meaningful. Look for alternatives. Get curious.

5.)Make the time.

Any time spent on creative ventures is time well spent.

6.)Be prepared for change.

It’s possible, maybe even likely that your genius won’t take you to fame or fortune. But it might be life altering, leading you to make big changes in your work, your social circle and other pursuits.

Being a genius takes you to being creative and vice versa. It brings out the bests in one person. It enriches free time, reduces stress and brings better mental and physical health. Creativity can even make a person smarter. Creative expression gives our brains a workout, activating new circuits in our grey matter.

It demands but one thing of those who reach for its gifts: courage – the courage to be childlike in attempting new things, shrugging off routine and trying something we’re not really good at.

10 Ways to Let the Sunshine in (Making the Most of Your Time)

It’s true for all of us that we are getting hooked on work – especially work we love – could be a problem. The addiction might exact a toll on our relationship towards the ones we love and to people close to our hearts. It pushes us towards burnout. We would just realize that what we need to do: less.

Work in everyday is endless. We all need to recharge and renew our own reserves, and there’s no better time than on long, warm days when nature beckons us outside, ayt? ^_^

Let me share to you a to-do list I sourced out from a world magazine I love to read and it goes like this:

1.Get up an hour earlier. Step outside, smell the air, listen to the birds, meditate, fix yourself some pancakes. Try to remember to give thanks for what’s going right in your life.

2.Stay out of the malls’ supermarkets. Try to shop for fruits and veggies at local farmers’ markets or at the palengke. Take time to savor the colors, textures and smells, the taste of fresh produce and thank the farmers for growing beautiful food.

3.Pick fruits/veggies/flowers from your yard or small garden patch. Nothing tastes like the goods and entices the eyes that you labored with your own hands.

4.Bake. Make homemade bread, pie, or brownies. It’s a work of art and an act of love.

5.Eat outside. In your favorite restaurant or have a picnic. More picnics!

6.Say no. Save time for yourself to toll, nap and daydream.

7.Get on–or in–the water more. Let the water wash away the stress of the day. Ride a boat over the sea or river or have fun snorkeling. Take a dip in a pool before going to sleep.

8.Walk in a field. Sit in a spot; breath in the sweet, green fragrance of the fresh air.

9.Go outside at night. Walking around after dark, admiring the stars, how the clouds look in the moonlight. Walking outdoors at night heightens the senses, and moonlight is a powerful aphrodisiac.

10.Let go. At least a little. Sometimes we feel paralyzed by all the suffering in the world, the pain of family and friends, and our own struggles at home, work, relationships and in everything. When we make the time to replenish our reserves, we find new energy to reach out in ways large and small, to change the world, to change ourselves.

Affiliation and Control

Central Mindanao Theological School (CMTS) is the District Bible School of Central Mindanao District Council (CMDC) of the Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God (PGCAG). The District Presbytery, serves as the school board and shares in matters of administration, appointment of personnel and support of the school.

Purpose

To operate a religious educational school at the post – high school level to train students for effective Christian ministry and church related vocation by promoting spiritual maturity, imparting the full gospel heritage, teaching the Word of God, Christian doctrine and related subjects. By fostering Christian character and by training in practical skills for effective communication of the gospel.

History

CMTS started its operation in Valencia City, Bukidnon with 18 students in 2002. Its original name was Central Mindanao School of Ministry with a campus located in Kalilangan, Bukidnon. For several years, the School of Ministry served the training needs of pioneering pastors of current churches now registered under the district. The move to change name and location goes in line with a new thrust and vision of the District and the General Council. Today, in partnership with an Australian Missionary couple and ICI Ministries Philippines, the school reaches out to more students and offering degrees suitable for the accomplishment of the District and National Vision – Harvest 5000 by 2010.

Educational Standing

A charter member of the Department of Education of the Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God . It is recognized and endorsed as a District Bible School by the Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Doctrinal Position

CMTS subscribes to the statement of Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.

General Admission Requirements

1. The applicant must be a born-again Christian for at least one year with sound moral character and adheres to the doctrinal truths of the Assemblies of God.

2. The applicant must submit recommendation letter from his/her pastor.

3. The applicant must demonstrate English proficiency in as much as English is generally used as the medium of instructions.

4. The applicant must receive a passing score of 80% on the admission test.

5. The applicant must be at least a high school graduate.

6. The applicant must be free from nay contagious disease and must present a health certificate signed by a medical doctor.

7. The applicant must submit a complete and signed application form together with the application fee.

A tutor of a Bible College was teaching on the high cost of unforgiveness. She asked each of her students to bring a sack of potatoes for class. For each person they refused to forgive, they had to select a potato and write the date on it beside that person's name. Then for a month, without fail, they each had to carry their potatoes with them everywhere they went.

WHAT A DRAG! After lugging the sacks around for a while each student began to learn: a) how much weight they were carrying spiritually b) the amount of energy it took carrying the bag c) that they had to be careful not to leave it lying around. Eventually, as the potatoes began to rot and stink, each student realized that getting rid of them was the only thing to do.

Forgiveness isn't just a gift you give to somebody else,; it's one you give yourself.

How long are you going to carry those rotten spuds around? Who else is gonna take them off from you? If that thought makes you uncomfortable, then do something about it before the day is over.

ang pagkain: pag naggrogrocery, these are the mostly placed in the basket or if mas malaki nag allowance - cart.
canned goods (sardinas, corned beef, tuna, sausages, pork & beans, canned fruits (if may budget pa) ;), soup noodles, pancit canton, tinapay, sandwich spread and kung tight talaga sa budget margarine, hotdogs kung may stove sa tinutuluyang bhaus, fruits para kahit papano may nutrients naman aside sa calcium from the sardinas, biscuits or crackers na Magic Flakes pinakapopular, fresh milk na kung minsan hinihilamos para naman pag umuwi sa probinsya eh may kaibahan namang nangyari sa skin, shampoo, sabon, toothpaste, hair conditioner, lotion, deodorant, cologne at sabong panlaba.. basic lang mga yan.

ang routines: tulog, aral, kain, laba, aral, kain, tulog at minsan nakakalimutan ng kumain at kadalasan hindi na naglalaba kasi marami ng laundry shops na 17 per kilo. ('0')

pag may time pa: punta mall. tingin-tingin lang, in English, windowshopping. pero pag may extra sa allowance, kahit ang pangtuition inuumitan paglabas ng mall may shopping bag ng dala, oh diba? hehehehehe... minsan, kain sa labas, could afford sa mamahaling restos, if cannot afford jan lang sa ihaw-ihaw, kahit na, pagkain din naman, resulta pareho lang, busog!

minsan pag sundays: maaalalang marami ng mga nagawang kasalanan sa buhay at takot maiwan sa rapture, pupuntang simbahan, makikiupo tas uuwi.. hekhekhekhek!

sa cellphone: may load all the time. text si ganito, text si ganyan, text si ganun. pagnalowbat, charge agad, pag na check-op, load agad. before going to sleep may kagudnyt at may ka-iloveyouhan. at sa paggising sa umaga, may mababasang text 'gising ka na ba?'

(*sweat!* ;) in truth, am not a bisaya nor a cebuana, i'm just raised in a community where bisaya is the dominant dialect. my father is a pure Boholano from Carmen, Bohol and my mother has a mixture of blood of an Igorot, Ilocano, Chinese and Spanish. her ancestors came all the way from Ilocos Sur. my grandparents and relatives on my mother's side are using different dialects from the Ilocos Region that's why i am oriented with the language as well as their kind of living. on my father's side, i grew up far from them since they are settled from Bohol to Compostela Valley here in Mindanao and their kind of speaking are in Bul-anon forms mixed with a bit cebuano.

i prefer hearing my mother's side of dialects, not being bias to my father's... everytime i go to other places alone without knowing anybody in that place, if i hear somebody speaking in Ilocano i'd feel at home and would be at ease. it really is my bloodline.

but all in all, am proud to be one of any of the blood i have running inside my veins. ^_^

i miss the times during my nursery to high school years. i and my siblings grew up in church since my father is a minister. every sunday meant a special day for us. we would be up from bed by 6 in the morning, after bathing will be breakfast then be dressed up in best for the Lord's day. sunday school starts at 8:00 am and ends at 9:00 am. 9:00 am to 9:30 is the Pahibalo/Pakaamo (bisaya and ilokano term for notice) for each departments. 9:30 am to 12noon is the morning service proper. t'would start with an opening song being led by the service leader, followed by an opening prayer, scripture reading from the Bible, praise and worship (every first sunday of the monday we held our communion service or the last supper remembering Jesus Christ dying on the cross so we'll have hymnal singing during those sundays, it may be in ilokano, bisaya or english), offering time (the church choir will render songs; for first sundays the Majesty choir which is composed of young married church members to adults and on the reamining sundays of the month the Shalom choir consisting youth members of the church will do the serving of songs), offertory prayer, the food of the soul on sundays - the sermon or the message of the minister, to end the service would be the closing prayer and the last thing is the benediction.

well, i can't help thinking why i was so active at church during those days, maybe it's because my world was still revolving around my family and my old friends in the place where i was begotten. when i stepped out of my old world, i've encountered a lot of changes. my sunday church routines turned out to be sunday sleeping routines or became sunday malling escapades. i'm guilty, yes i am! i'm not supposed to set God aside or to place Him before anything else. i could always converse with God and praise Him even without going to church but the fact there is - i know the rules which are governed by my parents, by my family, by my church, by the denomination i am in, by my feelings, by the Bible, by my God.

God is only asking 3-4hours in a week from my time, bakit di ko pa maibigay? =(

i want to have a house, my own house where i could help my future husband establish a family, where my family would not just merely see the house only as a dwelling place but as a home. a home for me is a place, an environment, an atmosphere, the togetherness and the belongingness of each and of a whole family, a husband and wife and the children. my parents had taught me of this.

i'm so blessed to have a mother who knows and masters the work of the house, she's the queen of the household in my childhood to adult years. now, i'm going to have my own a few years from now and luckily and gratefully i thank God that i did covet my Mama's attitude towards making a house be called a home.

i want to start with simple things for these are the things i have in mind as of this very moment. if men have their first thoughts on cars and other masculine schemes outside and inside their homes in building a family, women (most probably) would think first on what will the kitchen look like, for that part of the house will be their comfort zone ^_^... a wife and a mother could wipe out the frigid day of her husband from work and the children's tiring day in school by filling out the growling tiger and leopards with goodies and yummies out from the kitchen. and i hope, nope i pray that i'd b able to have my future kitchen as my bestfriend to help me out as i'll be easing my future family's tummies.. heheheheheheh! now, here are my never ending lists of appliances for the kitchen and other parts of the house to bedrooms and to small butingtings *_*:

kitchen:
1.) two refrigerators (i need the other one for freezing wet stuffs, i have to separate poultry goods from vegies, milk, butter, kids' stuffs and other dry groceries which needs to be stored in cold temperature. and if i'll have a lot of money i'd go for a large fridge).. ;)
2.) microwave oven
3.) oven for baking purposes and oven toaster
4.) cooking stove
5.) blender
7.) rice cooker
8.) hot and cold water dispenser
9.) wine rack
10.) dish rack
11.) spoon and fork organizer
12.) dining utensils (plates, glasses, spoons and forks and etc.)
13.) a rectangle dining table with chairs to accommodate the whole family and numbered visitors
14.) large bowls and serving plates, serving spoons and laddles
15.) cooking utensils (including pots and non-stick teflon pans for frying and suitable for hotcakes ^_^), knives and chopping board
16.) plastic containers (i'll make sure they are safe for food storage so i'll check the quality when buying) ranging from large to small sizes

19.) glass containers for powdered condiments such as coffee, milk, sugar and the like

4.) basins and pails exclusively for slaughtering meat purposes (di pwedeng gamitin ang gamit sa kusina para gamiting panlinis ng mga abubot ng katawan ^_^)

and for the whole house, para naman may free oxygen sa loob ng bahay, i'll plant green plants on big pots so i could place it in every corner of the house. i admit i don't have green hands for planting, yan ang isa sa mga hindi ko nakuha sa mama ko =( but i'll try, who knows diba? =)

for the small abubots:
1.) flourescent bulbs for light at night ;o no, no sa incandescent bulbs since mas malaki konsumo sa kuryente di pa maliwanag.
2.) soft brooms and stick brooms and dustpans (hindi ako kontra sa vacuum cleaner but i prefer cleaning the house nang pinagpapawisan. and that if a living soul would again stain my masterpiece, i have a huge reason to clinch my teeth!)
3.) flower vases (as if mahilig sa bulaklak, hahahahahah! malay natin, a day at a time may buhay pang magbibigay sa akin ng flowers so may paglalagyan ako *_*)
4.) etc... i'll think of other things pa..

hahaay.. kakapoy man! nways, hindi ko naman to lahat makukuha with with just a blink of an eye. kaya nga i have a list para i know which things i'd buy whenever i have money to spare for my house prep..;0

all big things started and came out from small beginnings. from scratches to perfect. from a rough draft to a masterpiece. just like creating a relationship, you need the bits and pieces, little by little. just like building a house. just like building a home. =)

^_^ he wants his house to be made out of BAMBOOS (kawayan)... his main reason, the grass could combat against the hot weather of the city (since he plans to settle here in the city of Durian (Davao City) hehehehehe..) it would be practical for him to construct the kind of house he wants to build for reasons again that I could not figure out until now though he tries to explain to me WHY figuratively. i still could not, ah, jak talaga na maawatan!.. he also plans to dig out a fish pond in his lot at the back of his house to be! sabi niya he'll raise tilapya, haiz! and well, hahayaan ko na lang sya, hahahahah! i support him naman in whatever he will do. oh, am referring to REX ^_^...

he just viewed this blog, he then said why I did not include his name on the page 'They mean the whole world to me'.. it's because, i'm making an exclusive part here in my blog for him ^_^

he's one of the reasons why my life is still going on, why my days are full of hopes, why even in the most difficult and hardest times of my life i fight for life, why even i cry i can afford to smile. =)

to start with, i'd like to share how the two of us met. it was an International Ministers' Kids of the Assemblies of God Convention being held in Rizal Recreation Center, Laguna. just a hit, not a hint, before, i was sometimes asking God why He allowed me to be a minister's/pastor's kid. i did not like the idea for all eyes are preying on kids like me. EVERYTHING is set for a purpose, ;).. di ba? it was almost at the end of the year 2004, to be exact, December 27, 2004 till December 30, 2004. things were already planned by my beloved Papa for me to attend the event but my Papa's plans were not my plans those times, but, i did submit for my plane tickets were already at hand, hehehe... so, there, we met.. should i name him? of course i should, hahahahahaha! Rex. that's his name as he introduced himself to me. to be complete, Rex D. Batay-an. ^_^

we had a blunt communication for almost 3 years. it's blunt dahil wala lang, hehehehehehe. ganun lang talaga eh. ^_^ but those years were constant. not in a hurry, paunti-unti. we grew separately and individually. he had built his own life, i had mine too. we've gone the opposite ways. whatever those things were, it did not happen change how i look at him and how he kept on reaching out for me. mahaba ang kwento.. ;) our trade of news were through texting and email, friendster and airmail letters (yes, it never went out of trend)...

after that span of time, we managed to see each other again. reunited ^-^... no words, no further explanations. it just went out as it should be. it's already written in the clouds, hehehehehehe! i mean, it was and it is. we both knew it way back before and years before, should i say, a decade ago for the story never started on the day when we first saw each other but it was initiated by our fathers, there's a story behind... =)

this man, showed me love and showed me the kind of respect i've been searching and seeking from all the men i've met to and fro, and i guess until now. one in a thousand men you'll find a soul who could and would treat you as how he treats himself. he influenced me in so many things. his words and acts had input such a great space in my whole being. he would not just look at me as if i'm an object but he talks and touches me as a person with rights, as a woman with needs.

if i'd enumerate how Rex is to me and what kind of person he is, we'd consume ages and ages ;)..
i made a vow to him that i'll stay with him whatever happens, he told me to.. heheheheheh! and i wasn't forced, i'm just obliged, hahahahahahahah! kidding aside, yes it's true, how and where will i find another man like him. he cries whenever i'd say "let's separate ways" when things would go out of my senses. there were times that i feel like letting him go, but whenever i see him sobbing, it breaks me into pieces. whenever i see him asleep, it touches my heart causing me to think not just twice but a billion times of who will take care of this man i loved so much if i'd flounder away.

he tells me all about his plans, his desires, his wants, wishes and even fears. i've seen how he reacts and responds to every bit of his life's revolving around this uncertain world. two things i'm certain for him: God is always with him and I too for him..

now, if i'm not a minister's kid, will Rex and I ever met? ^_^

it was the 12th of January within this year, my only aunt who was not yet on knots, my mother's youngest sister got married to the man she chose to be with for the rest of her life. i should be grateful for that, ayt? since my aunt Nel's already past in her thirties and she deserves to settle for a family that every woman in this world dream of.. it's just that, i've been with my aunt for years when she was still single. i thought she was blessed to be single though..

my aunt: she was the one who showed me how and what it is to be independent. she did not teach me, i had seen it in her. after her college graduation, she had lived alone for years without any support from her parents (my grandparents). she sought for means of living, jumped from one job to another until she finally got a stable position in an incorporated printing company. her job demands herself (yes, physically) to travel via Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao making business transactions for the company with different sectors varying from private to government institutions. the nature of her work, though very tiring allows her to meet people in ranks and also gives her the opportunity to see and visit different places in the Philippine Archipelago. a privilege yet very tiring. =)

during my 18th birthday, she made me went with her with her expense of course ^^ from places in Mindanao to places in Visayas. if not of that travel, if not of my aunt, i wouldn't have known that there are cities settling at the far corners of Negros Oriental. huuuh! that was an expedition for me for those palaces where my aunt had brought to were so strange to be in! hehehehehe, really! partly here in Mindanao, my homeland, we traveled for almost a day from Misamis Oriental (Cagayan de Oro City) to Zamboanga del Norte (Dipolog City). and oh! we went to Dapitan! i've made it to Dakak and to Jose Rizal's spot and Dumaguete City is just 4 hours away from that place through ship.. *_*

there were many places that i've visited with my aunt that i wouldn't anymore bother to mention. that was a 3-week travel through land and water and the final turn was in Cebu where we took rest, it is where my aunt's assigned office is in base, their main office is at Manila.

so much for that expedition as i'm calling it, my aunt had made me open my eyes how to be delicate in quality selection of CLOTHES and BAGS! she's a brand conscious. she won't waste her money just like that, she purchases her treasured items with quality thinking and as it is, considering the brand, the logo and the tag! hehehehehehe.. somehow, i did adopt her considerations that way, and when i do it, i get no blaming for myself why i did because i had what i wanted. it's not only the brand, it's the quality, the color, the size, the materials, the design, the accommodation for my built and the thinking of it over and over again if i must or if i must not.. ^_^ wise spending for your self's wishes, it's what i've learned from my aunt.

back to the wedding, i was the one who rendered all the matrimonial songs during the ceremony. the song that i sang first was Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You and tadaaaah! i started the piece with tears running down my face and sobbing or no, i was really crying! imagine, i was used of having my aunt as her with no strings attached, my thoughts were that she would remain single the rest of her life and that she'll be no Mrs. to a man, that she'll be Ms. ever after..

well, at the middle of the song, i forced myself to gain back my composure, sang the next lines and thought of my aunt. that, she will always be my aunt, my favorite aunt (though i haven't told her about it) and even though she's now a Mrs., she will always be a Ms. on how he influenced my life, not just by things, but on how i view life as she had viewed hers, from failures to rising up again to get and restore what i deserve.

some things aren't meant to be permanent since change is the constant thing in life. it all matters on how we accept things, adjust, learn how to deal with it, withdraw any negative outlook and learn the ways of loving unconditionally, no exceptions, no reservations.

3. My Siblings - Mark Jacinth Aia Suyao Singcol and Mark Nohah Rei Suyao Singcol

- Aia and Nohah. My two younger brothers. My 'mortal' enemies
way back in my childhood days. We three always quarrel on who
will fetch water and wipe the floor. We always argue and fight on
who will sleep with our parents for the night.

- My best buddies when going to church. Each of us will wear our
paired shirts and short pants having the Power Rangers' cartoon
prints or the ones that had the Dragon Ball Z characters.

- What I ate, they ate. What I had, they also had.

- They too, had loved me all throughout. I am their sister in blood.

4. The Twins - Zephaniah Maki Singcol and Hezekiah Goshen Singcol

- Maki and Zekiah. Sudden blessings from God. Blessings in
disguise. Identical twins, of course having the same face, just one
bigger than the other ^_^.

- The twosome bring joy and laughters in our home. Very talkative
and active. When awake the whole house would be in rummage.
Books, even the hardbound ones were in stashes! Would just
break into the fridge and eat all the sliced raw beef loafs!

- They love cookies, oh I mean, only the cookie fillings ^_^.

- Would bring everybody in the house in outrage with their
innocence.

- I love the two, very much. I'd strangle anyone who will dare break
the lives of my sons.

You are now entering my world. Everything you will see and read in here are about the events of my life attesting that there is a God behind all these things who lifts me up in bitter and in sweet forms.

As I'm breaking free I'm loosening the rope that ties me from my pasts. A certain minister told his congregation during a sermon: "...Past is past! Why live with it in the present when it's already in the past?..."

We cannot move on in the present if we are still living with our past. I'm referring to all the mishaps, failures and mistakes as the 'past'. Many people are still plunge in and moreover being drowned by what were in their past.

I'm not saying that I've moved on totally in a 100% figure. Every person needs a lot of time, ample of time to recuperate and assert oneself to pull over from life's undesired circumstances. I've already moved on, yet the pains are still here and my God is here, with me, to help me.

Complete healing. Forgiveness from my Father and from those I've caused pain and to those who had hurt me, and all.
